About US

Micaiah Deleston was a vibrant, intelligent young lady who was murdered at 11 by her half-brother.  In her honor, Melba Furlow and Miciah's father, former Dallas Cowboy running back, Dominique Ross, founded Micaiah Deleston Foundation for Families, Inc. to provide solid foundations and strengthen families.

Our mission is to motivate and inspire today’s youth with premier beliefs of character, sportsmanship, public servitude, academic excellence, entrepreneurship, and leadership.  The organization developed a comprehensive group of programs designed to provide services and programs that self-sufficiency in low-income families, promote healthier lifestyles, facilitate athletic development, and promote family violence prevention strategies to at-risk youth and their families.  It is our belief that these programs and services will enable participants to surpass negative outcomes that would minimize poverty, increase assets, and generate youth prosperity.  We strive to foster programs to build youth assets, teach employability skills, enhance self-worth, entrepreneurship, financial education, increase self-reliance, strengthen character, boost self-worth, enhance leadership, foster academic excellence, cultivate sportsmanship, encourage healthy living, volunteerism, teamwork, and highlight talent.
